The guy at 9:05 screwed up. We were taught to NEVER put the plane face down to keep from picking up something that would scratch the type or plates.

how our industry have changed: from a labor intensive one that assured people of their jobs to one that emphasizes on speed and digital production at the expense of jobs for the glorification of profits.

How come this film is titled as 1947, but the title card at the beginning of the film has roman numerals stating 1956? Is this because it was ahead of it's time? Us old London comps notice these things!

i have been in printing for 31 years, and started on a letterpress. one of my first jobs was working in a older shop. so i rember alot of the equipment in this vid. those guys really earned the pay!!!
