@TheGonzalezvalle a fresh install is your best choice in this case. unless you know how to boot into safe mode and run malwarebytes and get rid of it. but it may already be so severe that it has disabled your antivirus permanently inside your regostry as well as the bios. fresh install and kill the grimey bastard lol. forget a repair. all you will do is repair a virus in this case...do a complete fresh boot from cd rom. then again i specialize in xp and vista, not windows 7.

@TheGonzalezvalle The f4 or f8 doesn't "come up" u start your computer, then start hitting f8 as it boots. I'm sorry that I don't really know how to help u, and I don't really know anyone that can. I've had to take mine to the shop twice at about $100 each time. U might try googleing Windows 7 won't boot, or how to boot from a disc, u might get lucky, I'm sorry and I wish u luck, cheers!!

@TheGonzalezvalle I'm not a computer expert, far from it. I got lucky when I did a repair install. It seems I put the disc in, then restarted, I don't remember if I hit F8 or not. It seems that 4 options came up, do nothing, reinstall from scratch, repair install, and I don't remember the other. I clicked repair install, it took 4 long steps. I had to type in the 25 digit windows activation code from a sticker on the computer. It took me about 2 days. U might have to take yours to a shop.

@TheGonzalezvalle I have Windows XP, I just had a really bad virus, I didn't have any icons on my desktop, not even start. I did a repair install of Windows XP. U say u have Windows 7, I don't know if it will work, put your Windows 7 disc in and select boot from CD ROM, when it asks, look for repair install and do what it says. Thats what I did and it worked. I got my icons, it saved my pics, and most programs, it also saved me about $100. |
